Odile - the Black Swan of Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky's ballet 'Swan Lake', is the muse of this collection. An abstract representation of a character who known as dark, evil and vile. An abstract collection that explores a broken side to her darkness - how deprived of love perhaps she would have been. Using only black and white - this collection translates literature and performance art into pattern. Prints thus created, have many shades of grey readable to the naked eye, even though entire made in pure whites and blacks making the viewer think how every individual we come across has both - darkness and light. Evil and pure are social constructs and in the complex reality of this world, all of us have an Odette within us, as well as an Odile.
